Are you feeling anxious or excited to see your baby? Do you want to throw an epic gender reveal party? Are you not feeling so great and can’t even fathom the idea of getting out of bed? Every woman is different, therefore every pregnancy is different— there is no one size fits all!
After several years of working as a certified ultrasound technician at an imaging facility, I saw too many expectant moms that weren’t getting the level of care and attention they deserved. I was determined to make things easier for mamas! So I took a risk, quit my corporate job and started Bun + Oven!
My goal is to provide you with an easy, memorable and unique bonding experience while keeping you and your baby’s wellbeing a top priority.

All of our technicians are licensed and board certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), as well as certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR.

During your appointment you’re required to lay back + relax.
We will arrive with our small, but highly advanced machine. You can chose where you would like the session to take place—wherever is most comfortable for you (couch, bed, etc.) Then just lay back, relax and watch your baby say hello!

WHAT IS ULTRASOUND?
Ultrasound is a non-invasive, and painless exam that produces pictures of the inside of the body using sound waves. Ultrasound images are captured in real-time, so they are able to show the structure and movement of the body's internal organs.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Ultrasound imaging, also called ultrasound scanning or sonography, involves the use of a small transducer and ultrasound gel that gets placed directly on the skin. Sound waves are transmitted from the transducer, through the gel, and into the body. The transducer collects the sound waves that bounced back and a computer then uses those sound waves to generate an image
IS IT SAFE?
Ultrasound does not use ionizing radiation, so there is no radiation exposure to the patient or baby. Over 30 years of extensive studies have proven that ultrasound does not cause any harm to the mother or baby.
DOES THIS TAKE THE PLACE OF AN ULTRASOUND AT MY DR’S OFFICE?
3D imaging is a non-diagnostic elective. Our HD technology will capture images of your baby that are unbelievably detailed, however, this exam is not to be in place of a complete diagnostic ultrasound. We recommend that all our soon to be moms be under the care of an OB/GYN. Our services are meant to be a bonding experience between the mother and their baby.
HOW FAR ALONG SHOULD I BE FOR A 3D ULTRASOUND?
We are able to do 2D scanning as early as 6 weeks! For 3D imaging we recommend weeks 24-30 for optimal imaging.
ARE YOU ABLE TO TELL THE SEX OF THE BABY?
Yes, in most cases, as early as 14 weeks, we can provide an indication of the sex of the baby. However, we can’t guarantee that the baby will cooperate during your session. Certain factors such as body tissue content, developmental stage and fetal position all affect the ability to determine sex.
If you’re 18 weeks or further, and we are unable to obtain the gender of the baby, we will schedule a second visit at a discounted rate!
WILL I ALWAYS GET A PERFECT IMAGE OF MY BABY?
Usually, but not always. Sometimes if the baby is looking face down or sleeping during the ultrasound it may be difficult to see the baby’s face. We make no guarantee that the images will be similar to those you might have seen elsewhere or even from us. Every baby scans differently, depending on its gestational age, position, amount of fluid, and mother’s condition. Our team will always make every effort to obtain the best possible images.
IS THE 3D ULTRASOUND COVERED BY INSURANCE?
No. Since 3D is an elective service and is not intended to be a replacement for your doctor ordered ultrasound, insurance does not cover any of the cost. We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and debit cards.
WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
Hydration is key! Be sure to drink plenty of fluids and eat 30 minutes prior to your appointment. The best results are obtained when the baby is most active.
